We need healthy men, aged 18 to 40, for a study of the effect of a gene and a drug on the performance of simple computer tasks.
If you take part, we will ask you to:
- Provide a cheek swab (to see which form of the gene you have) then, if suitable, come to the lab and:
- Complete some questionnaires;
- Take a single tablet (either a drug or a dummy pill) and carry out simple reward tasks and tests of the processing of emotions.
You will be reimbursed for your time.

Hi,
Are you still looking for people for your study? I’d like to do it if I am suitable
Thank you
Hi Sergio. Thanks for your interest – we are still looking for people. If you email the study address (comt.study@psych.ox.ac.uk) then we can send you further information.
Can you do this from any city?
Hi Craig. We’re looking for people fairly local to Oxford, as the study involves coming in to the University. If you think this might be feasible then contact comt.study@psych.ox.ac.uk for the full study details (without obligation). Thanks for your interest.
Are you still recruiting?
Yes! Please contact comt.study@psych.ox.ac.uk for details.
I have ADHD, I doubt this’d exclude me from the study but I just wanna make sure, thanks.
Hi Alex. I’m afraid it might do – our ethics is quite strict on inclusion criteria (e.g. we can’t use anyone currently taking certain medications). Probably the best thing to do is to get in touch via the study email (comt.study@psych.ox.ac.uk) so that we can discuss in more detail. Thanks for your interest!
I haven’t been on any medication for over 8 years and I will send an email next week, thanks.
Thanks Alex!
I am foreign student who is learning English in Oxford. Am I okay to participate?
Hello. You should be ok – if you contact the study email then someone will get back to you. Thanks for your interest!
Still recruiting?
